Corn rootworm spreads in maize cultivation
Wednesday, 05.09.2018 General
The corn rootworm (lat. Diabrotica virgifera) is an introduced beetle, which is increasingly becoming a threat as a pest in maize cultivation (2017: + 350% in Baden-Württemberg, a region in Germany).
On 06.09.2018 an information day on this topic will take place in Freiburg (Germany). The partners of the cross-border EU-project "Innov.AR" (D, F, CH) invite to get acquainted with the latest recommendations against the propagation and control of the corn rootworm.
Dr. Bart Vandenbossche (e-nema GmbH) will report on the basics of biological pest control with nematodes and our nematode product dianem®, which has already proven itself in practical use against the corn rootworm.
The practical application of nematodes are presented by Karl Müller-Sämann (ANNA) and Klaus Schitterer (agricultural contractor).
