Young kestrels at e-nema

Surprise at e-nema GmbH, several young kestrels have left their nearby nesting site and are now exploring our company grounds.

Kestrels are originally rock breeders, but have adapted over time to our density of building. For their nesting sites, they prefer tall buildings, where they breed for about 4 weeks from April to May.

After another 4 weeks in the nest, the young kestrels are fledged. But stay for several weeks near their birthplace and explore the area there, just like now our courtyard. Then someday they will set out into the big wide world.
