Educational trail on biological plant protection
Together with the town of Schwentinental, the Friends of Schwentinepark Association and with additional funding from Bingo! the environmental lottery, we have created an educational trail on biological plant protection that is unique in Germany. Ten partially interactive panels teach visitors everything they need to know about this exciting topic in a playful way.

Extracurricular learning location
As an extracurricular learning location focusing on the topic of ‘Biological plant protection as a substitute for chemical pesticides’, we are actively participating in the education campaign for agriculture, nutrition and consumer protection organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Consumer Protection. The aim is to educate schoolchildren about the risks of chemical pesticides and to demonstrate practical biological alternatives.
Acker e.V. vegetable classes
Since 2022, we have been supporting the vegetable classes project run by Acker e.V. with our nematodes. The aim of this fantastic project is to teach primary school pupils in years 3 and 4 about natural foods and a balanced diet in a fun and practical way. To this end, vegetables are grown directly in the classrooms throughout the school year and accompanied by appropriate learning content.

Preetzer Werkstätten
We have been working with Preetzer Werkstätten since 2016, where we have our Käfer-Stopp boards produced. Preetzer Werkstätten is part of Lebenshilfewerk Kreis Plön gGmbH and supports people with disabilities by assigning them meaningful and appropriate tasks and giving them a sense of achievement.

Students for nature
Students play a crucial role in research. They bring fresh perspectives, creativity and innovative spirit to scientific projects. Right from the start, we have given students opportunities and prospects to gain practical experience and help shape our production. Over the years, we have welcomed more than 50 students from 15 different countries.
Stadtradeln
Our team, ‘Drehwürmer’ (spinning worms), regularly participates in the Schwentinental municipality's City Cycling campaign. The aim is to cycle as many kilometres as possible during the campaign period in order to promote cycling within the municipalities, reduce CO2 emissions and increase the enjoyment of cycling. For several years in a row, we have been able to clock up the most kilometres in the municipality, securing first place in the team rankings.
LIPOBAK
Together with Lipobak, we have developed the innovative and patented product lipasanF®. LipasanF® is a biological agent for the breakdown of fat residues and is used in both wastewater treatment and the catering industry.
