Experience and wonder - unique in Germany
Chemical pesticides are on everyone's lips, both figuratively and literally. An important building block on the road to more sustainable and healthier agriculture is the use of biological agents to combat pests and diseases. But what exactly is biological plant protection and what methods and solutions are available?
These questions are now answered in an easy-to-understand and entertaining way in Schwentinental. The first educational trail in Germany on the subject of biological plant protection has now opened there.
About the project
This educational path has been realized through a cooperation of the Stadt Schwentinental, the Freunden des Schwentineparks e.V. and the company e-nema and was supported by Bingo! der Umweltlotterie.
The content of the educational trail was conceptualised and designed by e-nema. To this end, we have used our +25 years of experience in the field of biological plant protection in a target group-orientated, easily understandable and entertaining way and put it into a content and visual form that appeals to school classes and families as well as hobby biologists interested in nature. Ten panels, some of which are interactive, allow visitors to immerse themselves in the amazing world of biological plant protection. There are also specific tips on how to help useful insects in the garden.
Where to go
The nature trail is located in Jahnstraße directly at the entrance to the allotment garden association and in the immediate vicinity of the open-air swimming pool.
